Hi!

I'm said friend. I have a medical background addressing this invisible disease that we are fighting together. It all began in 2010, at least for me. I was a very happy being, healthy, too. Within the span of 2 weeks I got utterly destroyed by a drug withdrawal which resulted in profound disruption of endocrine and neurochemical states. Problem is, it never went away. I started to have symptoms of depression and inability to enjoy things I previously did enjoyed. I was too fatigued to continue my studies. I was devastated. Several doctors didn't know what's wrong with me and blood tests always came up within normal range with a few exceptions.

Doctors were telling me 'you're fine' and just shrugging this whole thing off despite the symptoms being extremely severe. And since then and I've been trying to figure this out on my own, and I've come a long way. The first hint was a thyroid abnormality in blood tests. I was a little hypothyroid so I took levothyroxine and it worked like magic. All my symptoms were gone. I was energetic, my mood returned to normal, and I was ready to face the world again. Until levothyroxine stopped working one day.

I was devastated yet again. I was put on several antidepressants, stimulants, mood stabilizers, even antipsychotics. It went as far as having many ECT sessions done. This is how severe this was. My life was like a roller-coaster. I knew I had to do something so I researched my symptoms. I came across several mentions of levothyroxine resistance. Seemed like I'm not alone.

I met HelpingHand on a forum and we started brainstorming regarding what may have caused this whole mess. We came up with many theories that proved fruitful such as linking zinc, vitamin D3, reverse T3, TRH and many others which we will hopefully share with you.
